About us
Located in the heart of the historic Laguna Village, our family-owned T-shirt Company at Laguna Beach has been building a culture of community for four decades. We offer carefully curated high quality t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other unique items for visitors that create memories to last a lifetime.
We pride ourselves as being a “t-shirt shop with a conscience” by partnering with nonprofits to make a positive impact, while also highlighting talented local artists and craftspeople.
The Father - Till Segal
Tillman Segal was a renaissance man who has reinvented his life at 76 and started a new career. A business man all his life where painting was a hobby, he had recently decided to devote his time and his passion to embarking on a new endeavor as a professional artist and author. Amazingly, Till could look at a photo and from there create an amazing work of art. His scope of subjects includes landscapes and seascapes, beautiful florals, and doors of windows from his travels the world over.
Till opened the T-Shirt Company in 1981 with a simple mission: to create a space where art, originality, and the laid-back vibe of the California coast could come together. What started as a small shop just steps from the beach became a local institution, known for diverse, original designs and a deep love for Laguna’s vibrant culture and incredible natural beauty.
He brought not only entrepreneurial spirit to the store, but also heart. He saw people, tourists and locals alike, as more than customers. His sincerity, sense of humor, and disarming personality, made everyone feel welcome, valued, and seen.
The Daughter - Lauren Segal
Tillman's daughter Lauren Segal came into the picture 10 years ago as a co-owner. Lauren worked in the store as a teenager, and after college, she ran Mr. Tilly’s, then Decades, before taking off for a life in the Costa Rican jungle. She later turned to her passions for music, justice and giving back working 20 years in the international development and criminal justice reform sectors. Lauren has now brought those passions into the store. Inspired by the incredibly rich history and happenings that make Laguna so special and customers can witness her influence with more environmentally-friendly products, items made locally, and positive messaging.
Lauren is also the founder and director of Give a Beat - non-profit organization that harnesses the power of music to generate social good.

We Care
We care about our customers, our community, our natural environment, our artists, our non-profits, and all the residents, including our homeless and low-income neighbors.
We celebrate diversity and welcome people from all backgrounds, nationalities, ethnicities, genders - everyone.
We also like to support and partner with non-profit organizations. We are happy to contribute to raffles and auctions and co-brand products in the store that can benefit the local community.
